A plan to establish nature school network was drafted in mid September. The draft plan took Wanglang National Nature Reserve in Sichuan as the instance. The mission of nature school was made clear at the meeting of nature school network among no-governmental organizations of Japan and China held at XTBG during September 14-15.

Japanese experts like Takagi Harumitsu and Umezaki Yasushi were invited to provide advice on how to create nature school network in China. Shanhui Conservation Center, Japan-China Civil Society Network and Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden (XTBG) will make joint efforts to let nature school come into being in China.

ABOUT

Nature school is usually aimed at providing opportunities for direct experience with nature. It is to increase awareness of and connection to the natural world in order to foster compassion and empathy for the earth and all its inhabitants.
