During the Water Splashing Festival in 2013, also the New Year of the Dai ethnic group, many visitors came to Xishuangbanna. XTBG, the 5A national tourist attraction, was one of the hot destinations for tourists.
XTBG offered special popular science activities for the visitors to practice gardening in the Flower Garden and Fruit Garden. The “Leave No Trace” activity at the Green Stone Forest also won wide participation.
Gardening is a very good exercise. Visitors got the joy of taking care of plants by dry pruning parts of shrubs and trees, leveling the soil, and weeding, etc.
The “Leave No Trace” activity “Leave No Trace” activity was aimed at teaching people of all ages how to enjoy the outdoors responsibly by practicing the Seven Principlesof Leave No Trace to protect and preserve our natural world. Visitors to the Green Stone Forest packed out all trash, leftover food and litter to the Main Entrance of XTBG.
