Held each year at 8:30pm on the last Saturday in March, Earth Hour is a WWF initiative which symbolises the collective power of individuals, businesses and governments to reduce our environmental impact on this one and only planet we call home.

This year, Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden (XTBG) gets involved in this activity. After signing up in WWF, XTBG will organize an activity to watch wildlife in the night on March 31.

In this special activity, XTBG will introduce Earth Hour 2012 and give awards to participants, raising awareness of saving electricity and protecting the earth.
