Orchids are stunning flower that have three petals. The rainforests of the world provide a great environment for tropical orchids. The tropical rainforest within XTBG is home to hundreds of orchids, which makes it more attractive. With the purpose to promote appreciation of the orchids and the art of photography, XTBG is holding an Orchid Photography Contest during March and April.

The contest is open to the public. All orchid lovers are welcomed to submit your tropical orchid photos with an introduction of 200 words or so. All entries are expected to send to yangy@xtbg.org.cn during March 1 and April 10.

Both indoor orchid pictures and wild orchid pictures photographed in China are welcomed. Some excellent orchid photos may be published in Rainforest Stories.

Many orchids are blooming lushly in XTBG in the Spring. Here are just a few examples. For appreciation of more eye-catching orchids, please come to XTBG and shoot the ones attracting you.
