Dr. Chiu Sein Tuck, head of Education Department of Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden (KFBG), together with his colleagues, paid a tour to XTBG during June 25-29. His tour is aimed to further cooperation and exchange experience of public science education between the two gardens.
Dr. Chiu Sein Tuck, with colleagues in XTBG, discussed details for the exhibition named “The Mystery of Xishuangbanna Tropical Rainforest” to be jointly held at KFBG in November. He also delivered a lecture on the public education activities by botanical gardens to connect man and nature closely.
He was interested in seeing changes of XTBG over the past years. He also visited the Tea Culture Museum of Six Ancient Tea Mountains, the original place of the tea-horse ancient road, and tea workshop in Xiahuangbanna. He was also showed around the neighboring villages of ethnic minority groups.
During his stay in XTBG, Dr. Chen Jin met with the guests and exchanged ideas on further cooperation between the two gardens.
