Direction:

Conservation of orchid species

Research interests:

I mainly focus on orchid mycorrhizal biology, including symbiotic seed germination and mycorrhizal fungal diversity. These researches are trying to answer the questions of how do the specificity and compatibility between orchid seed and fungal partner influence seed germination in vitro and in situ? How can we successful reintroduce orchid species using in situ symbiotic seed germination? What’s dynamics of fungal communities during orchid lifecycle? What’s the relationship of fungal networks and orchid distribution? All studies will benefit orchid conservation.
