| Abstract: |
Zingiber edule (Zingiberaceae), a new species from Yunnan, China is described and illustrated here. It is similar to Z. neotruncatum in having truncate ligule and flower shape, but differs by having free ligule lobes, bract greenish yellow ca. 2/3 of the base and reddish brown tinge towards apex and labellum and lateral staminodes brownish yellow. |
