1. Tropical Forest Ecology (Supervisor: Prof. Dr. CAO Min)
Three fully-funded postdoctoral positions are available to study tropical forest ecology with Prof. CAO Min at the CAS Key Laboratory of Tropical Forest Ecology of Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden (XTBG). The main directions of study include: tree species diversity of tropical forest and its maintenance mechanism; long-term dynamics monitoring of tropical ecosystem; restoration ecology of tropical vegetation.
4. Plant Evolution Ecology (Supervisor: Prof. Dr. LI Qingjun)
Two fully-funded postdoctoral positions are available to study evolution of flower types and molecular biology of floral movement; or plant pollination biology and plant-animal interactions at Plant Evolution Ecology Research Group of XTBG.
Candidates should have a solid understanding of basic genetics and molecular biology and significant hands-on experience in molecular biology.
6. Global Change Studies (Supervisor: Prof. Dr. ZHANG Yiping)
Two fully-funded postdoctoral positions are available to have global change studies with Prof. ZHANG Yiping. Candidates should have a solid background of Nature Geography, focus on carbon cycling research of forest ecosystems in the context of global climate change.
7. Plant Molecular Biology (Supervisor: Prof. Dr. YU Diqiu)
Two or Three fully-funded postdoctoral positions are available to study signal pathways of plant stress responses and molecular mechanisms with Prof. YU Diqiu. Candidates should have a solid understanding of plant molecular genetics, functions of plant genes, and plant physiology.
8. Conservation Biology (Supervisor: Prof. Dr. Richard Corlett)
One fully-funded postdoctoral position is available to study biodiversity conservation of Mekong region with Prof. Richard Corlett.
Highly qualified candidates with experience in the science and practice of biological conservation, and interested in research in any of the following or related areas, are encouraged to apply: habitat fragmentation, climate change impacts, ecosystem services, conservation biogeography, protected area management, ex situ conservation, invasive species management, ecological restoration, reintroduction, assisted migration, and conservation education. The research focus should be on plants or plant-animal interactions.
9.Plant Phylogenetics & Conservation (Supervisor: Prof. Dr. LI Jie)
Three fully-funded postdoctoral positions are available to study plant phylogenetics and conservation withProf. LI Jie. Candidates should have solid background of plant raxonomy and molecular biology, and significant hands-on experience in molecular biology.
10. Plant Functional Genomics (Supervisor: Prof. Dr. CHEN Jianghua)
Three fully-funded postdoctoral positions are available to study plant functional genomics with Prof. CHEN Jianghua. Candidates should have a background of molecular plant biology, biochemistry, plant molecular physiology, and gene function analysis.
11. Molecular Breeding of Energy Plants (Supervisor: Prof. Dr. XU Zengfu)
Two fully-funded postdoctoral positions are available to study gene functions of energy plant Jatropha curcasand gene engineering withProf. XU Zengfu. Candidates should have background of plant molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, breeding science, physiology, cell biology, or gene engineering, etc.
12.Biofuels and Biorefinery(Supervisor: Prof. Dr. FANG Zhen)
Three fully-funded postdoctoral positions are available to study biofuels and biorefinery with Prof. FANG Zhen. The candidates are expected to have a background in chemical engineering, biochemical engineering, bio-processing or a related field of engineering and chemistry.
13. Immunology (Supervisor: Prof. Dr. ZHANG Ping)
Three fully-funded postdoctoral positions are available in the laboratory of ZHANG Ping, Open Plant Resource Lab, XTBG. Candidates should have a solid understanding of basic immunology and significant hands-on experience in cellular or molecular immunology. Experience with T cells, NKT cells as well as innate immune cells are highly desirable. Individuals with a recent Ph.D with background in microbiology orvirology, pathology, physiologyare also encouraged to apply. Individuals who are familiar with animal models of human diseases will be given preference. Candidates must be able to work in team while being able to work independently.
